Barney Tootoo was like many other Blue Jays fan across Canada last week, watching in horror as the Jays frittered away a five-game lead atop the American League East Division standings.
Tootoo said as much as he'd love it, he can't see see the Jays going all the way this year.
"The Jays are really missing their shortstop, Bo Bichette, and (Vladimir Jr.) Guerrero seems to be missing him the most," said Tootoo.
"The big-name pitcher they signed for this year (Max Scherzer) seems to have gone in the tank and I don't know if they have the arms to take them out of the American League East."
Tootoo said there's no doubt the deeper the Blue Jays go in their playoff run, the more they'll become Canada's team and the whole country will be cheering them on.
