The Madras High Court, on Friday (October 3, 2025). directed Greater Chennai City Police to show seriousness in investigating a case registered against Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Aadhav Arjuna for his inflammatory tweet (which he deleted later) insinuating a revolt against Tamil Nadu government by the youngsters and the Gen Z as it happened in Sri Lanka and Nepal.

Justice N. Senthilkumar issued the direction while disposing of a writ petition filed by S.M. Kathiravan of Anna Nagar in Chennai. The petitioner had sought a direction to the city police to register a First Information Report (FIR) against Mr. Arjuna on the basis of a complaint lodged by him.
