Denver and eastern Colorado will experience warm weather Friday, with temperatures climbing into the mid-to-upper 80s across the plains and along the Interstate 25 corridor, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Highs in Denver could near the daily record of 88 degrees, set on this date in 2005.

The NWS office in Boulder shared on social media that conditions will start to cool down by Saturday, with winds and widespread rain and snow showers across the high country.

Additionally, there will be a chance of afternoon showers Saturday along the I-25 corridor and light snow above 11,000 feet.

On Sunday, the temperature is expected to be cooler, with a few rain and snow showers across the northern mountains at night.
