PLANO, Texas — A national brewery chain has closed one of its North Texas locations.

Voodoo Brewing Co. announced the closure of its Downtown Plano location in the 1000 block of 14th Street, effective Sept. 30, in a post on social media.

"It’s with heavy hearts that we share this news: Voodoo Brewing Co. – Plano will be closing our doors," the post read. "This is not the way we imagined this chapter ending, but despite pouring everything we had into this brewpub, we simply cannot continue."

The news comes a bit over a year after Voodoo Brewing Co. opened in Downtown Plano .
