Mads Fights Monsters and an ’80s Fantasy Classic Gets Remade in This Week’s Three Trailers

The trailer for Deathstalker made me question what year it is. Director Steven Kostanski ( Psycho Goreman ) doesn’t seem to have strayed very far from Roger Corman’s aesthetic in the 1983 original .

And the star, Swiss actor Daniel Bernhardt, bears a strong resemblance to young Arnold Schwarzenegger in some shots (on purpose, probably, right?) Yes, yes, I know Arnold wasn’t in the original, but all of those ’80s sci-fi/fantasy swords and sandals movies blend together and don’t you dare try to deny that.
