The Barrington High School boys cross country team knocked off LaSalle Academy, 20-42, in a dual meet on Monday afternoon, Sept. 29.

Barrington High School Coach Mike Katz said he was proud of his team’s performance.

“It was a fun Senior Day today, and even more fun when we defeated LaSalle, 20-42. Yes, LaSalle did not run three of their top runners, but our guys ran very well and we would have been competitive even against their best team,” Katz said.

Colby Napolitano finished first among all Barrington High School runners and was second overall, crossing the line just back from the defending state champ, Marshall Vernon. Napolitano clocked a 16:43.

The Eagles had eight out of the top-10 finishers. Following Napolitano was Neal Bansal in third place, Ryan Hurlock in fourth, Sam Spence
