PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Two people are in custody for allegedly being involved with the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy this week.
Neither, however, are charged with the actual shooting of Keyaun Schmitt-Hardimon, who was found dead early Wednesday morning in the 2000 block of North Sheridan Road.
Both Jafari Robinson and Curtis Jones are scheduled to appear in Peoria County Circuit Court on Friday where a judge could order them held in custody pending the outcome of their cases.
Jones, 18, was charged Thursday with conspiracy to commit first degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death, charges that could send him to prison for up to 15 years on each count.
