CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The teenager was charged in the deadly shooting of a 16-year-old outside of a shopping center in Midtown Charlotte.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said that shortly after the initial shooting, they received a call about a second shooting. There, they found a 17-year-old who hurt. He was arrested after he was treated at an area hospital and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony conspiracy, and felony obstruction.
He was accused of shooting 16-year-old Alexander Cruz Martinez shortly before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Target shopping center near Charlottetown Avenue and South Kings Drive.
Martinez later died from his wounds at an area hospital, police said.
