WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Whether you’re looking for savory or sweet, the Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo has it! It’s not just the fairgoers who look forward to the food - many vendors return year after year to set up shop in Central Texas.

More than 20 food vendors have made their way to Waco for this year’s 73rd Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo.

Each owner, with their own story. Like Ron McKinney, of McKinney Food Services, whose grandfather started the business almost 100 years ago!

Their unit has been set up at the Extraco Events Center for 30 plus years.

“Waco is a special place. Everybody is so friendly. When you get into the Heart O’ Texas everybody is so friendly and the customers are great and it’s a fun atmosphere here in Waco,” McKinney said.
