GLOBE-MIAMI, AZ (AZFamily) — A week after deadly flooding hit the Globe-Miami area, some businessowners don’t know when they will be able to open again.
That includes El Ranchito, a family-owned restaurant that’s been in Globe since 1999.
“I grew up here,” said Berenise Bowyer. “I would get dropped off right in front from kindergarten.”
The restaurant was the dream of Bowyer’s mother, and her parents have been running it ever since. Bowyer says the damage in Globe is overwhelming.
The El Ranchito building got hit with about 4.5 feet of water. Bowyer isn’t sure when they will be able to open as they lost virtually everything: spoons, tables, chairs and costly industrial-style cooking equipment.
