GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Police are asking the public’s help identifying a driver who struck a pedestrian and fled the scene.
The man who was struck suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Grand Rapids police said.
The crash happened at 5:53 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, on Plainfield Avenue NE south of Elmdale Street. The pedestrian was in the center lane, trying to cross Plainfield Avenue, when he was struck.
The driver briefly got out of the vehicle before fleeing, police said.
She was likely in her 20s or 30s, with black or brown hair that was in a bun or ponytail.
She was described as being of medium height with a thinner build, wearing a pink shirt and possibly tan or orange leggings, sunglasses, and white shoes.
