LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville is looking to expand its electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and city leaders want the community’s input on how that plan should be implemented.
According to Mayor Craig Greenberg, the Community EV Readiness Plan is a “forward-looking strategy to prepare Louisville for a cleaner, more accessible transportation future.”
The plan found that EV ownership in Jefferson County tripled between 2021 and 2024, signaling the need for a major scale-up in public charging infrastructure.
“Louisville continues to innovate, set ambitious goals, and lead with purpose,” Greenberg added. “This plan is about building a city that works better for everyone. A city where clean air, smart infrastructure, and economic opportunity go hand in hand.”
