New Delhi, Oct 3: India is hosting the World Para Athletics Championships for the first time at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, where more than 2,000 athletes from 104 countries are competing in the sport’s premier global event.

The championship reflects the growing strength and visibility of para sports in the country under the leadership of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI).

Present at the event were Arhan Bagati (Awareness & Impact Ambassador, PCI), Satyanarayana Shimoga (National Coach, PCI), and Satya Babu (Director, PCI & President, South Asia Para Sports Federation).

The ongoing championships are a landmark moment for Indian para athletes, highlighting the nation’s growing commitment to inclusivity, excellence, and sporting spirit.
