ALLEN PARK -- Alim McNeill returned to practice this week. And he’s apparently impressed the Detroit Lions enough to say he’s got a “50-50″ chance of making his season debut this weekend.
McNeill playing off of a couple of limited practices seems like a long shot. But Dan Campbell has maintained that his recovery is stable and that all he needs now is “football.”
The Lions coach has also said they want to make sure every box is checked when it comes to their game-changing defensive lineman’s return. And that pairs well with defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard’s comments that the biggest challenge is remaining patient before unleashing McNeill .
Campbell said they have all the data possible on McNeill at this point. It’s just all about his confidence and comfort level with everything
