GRETNA, Neb. —

Buckets of cookies, bags of kettle corn, batches of barbecue, and so much more await hungry visitors at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard .

"At Vala’s, we take great pride in all of the food we make," said Joe Griffith, the director of food and beverage at Vala’s. "We’re essentially a fall food festival."

Across the grounds, visitors will find more than 30 food and beverage locations, including Ethan’s Applewood Smokehouse, Vala’s Pie Barn, and the iconic Cookie Coop.

"We sell thousands and thousands of cookies," said Griffith. "We have a giant oven inside that Cookie Coop where we can bake 40 trays of cookies at a time."
