BLACKSBURG — With headlines such as its Board of Visitors committing hundreds of million dollars in the coming years, and outside speculation of who will be their next head coach, the current state of Virginia Tech’s football team seems secondary.
Interim head coach Philip Montgomery said this week that it might be time for those Hokies fans choosing to look ahead instead of being in the momentto reconsider their priorities.
“We’re getting into more of a routine,” Montgomery said after Wednesday’s practice. “The players are getting into more of a routine, I think the coaches are as well — and that’s what our focus is.
“… Our mindset has to be working to get better every time we step out.”
