The Jets are going to be without Braelon Allen for an extended period of time.
The second-year running back, dealing with an MCL injury in his left knee , was placed on Injured Reserve on Thursday, but he’s going to miss much more than the mandated four games.
Coach Aaron Glenn said Friday that the timetable is eight to 12 weeks.
It’s uncertain if Allen will rehab the injury or undergo surgery.
