The South Carolina Department of Transportation is inviting public comments on two bridge repair projects in Cherokee and Greenville counties, with feedback open until Oct. 30.

The first project is in Cherokee County at Indian Springs Road over Kings Creek, with construction set to begin in March 2026 and last about two and a half months. The detour is approximately 10 miles, as indicated on the picture below in green.

The second project is in Greenville County, north of Travelers Rest, where officials plan to replace the bridge over Tugaloo Road over the Middle Tyger River, with construction taking place in fall 2026.
