The unusual cold-blooded critter making his home on Belle Isle and causing a stir has packed his alligator bags and moved on to greener pastures.

Or at least one in Westland, according to two men who said they caught the reptilian fugitive and took him to a zoo and conservation center in the Wayne County community.

Troy Keteyian, an arborist for a tree trimming company, said he and another man found the alligator at the Detroit park. He posted about the successful hunt for the small gator on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

"Your boy caught the belle isle alligator," he said in the post, which included a video and a photo of him holding the animal after catching it.

Later in the day, he also posted: "The DNR called and congratulated me and my buddy for catching the gator ... so wild."
