Blades defeat Wild in Stobbs Division

The Blenheim Blades are on a two-game winning streak after beating the Walpole Island Wild 5-1 Thursday in the Provincial Junior Hockey League’s Stobbs Division. Article content Article content Article content

Logan Bell, Andrew Goulet, Stefan Jacobs, Landon Copeland and Brenden McKay scored for the Blades (4-2-0-0) before 150 at the Walpole Island Sports Complex. Winning goalie Russell Vaughan made 14 saves.

Cayden Storey scored and Nicholas Jeranian made 52 saves for the Wild (1-8-0-0).

The Wild host the Essex 73’s Saturday at 4 p.m. at Walpole Island. The Blades host the Dresden Kings Sunday at 7 p.m. at Blenheim Memorial Arena.
