ATLANTA, Ga. - Actor and singer Tyrese Gibson was booked into the Fulton County Jail on an animal cruelty charge on Friday.

Jail records show the “Fast & Furious” actor has since been released.

Mistakenly released double murderer captured in Georgia

A 60-year-old convicted murderer was mistakenly released from jail in Florida. Days later, authorities tracked him down to Georgia.

Fulton County police had issued an arrest warrant for Gibson after one of his four Cane Corso dogs allegedly killed a neighbor’s dog, a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, on Sept. 18.

Earlier this week, Gibson’s attorney released a statement saying his client was “cooperating fully” with Fulton County law enforcement.
