A former varsity boys basketball coach at a Massachusetts high school charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old female high school student at a Manchester motel in 2022 pleaded guilty in federal court this week, prosecutors said.

Jesus Moore, 35, formerly of Manchester and currently of Lawrence, Mass., is accused of transporting a former student of Lawrence High School, on or about March 7, 2022. At the time, the former student was under 18, officials said.

Moore was charged by Manchester police with aggravated felonious sexual assault. In July 2024, he was charged by federal prosecutors with transportation to engage in unlawful sexual conduct.
