AUSTIN, Nev. (KOLO) - State Route 305 in central Nevada will be closing for 10 days to allow crews to make road repairs.

The highway will be closed from Oct. 13 to Oct. 23.

State Route 305 travels between the U.S. 50 Junction near Austin to I-80 at Battle Mountain.

The highway will close starting at 6:00 a.m. on Oct. 13 and remain that way through Oct. 23. Through traffic will not be allowed from south of Battle Mountain to directly north of Austin. Hard road closures will be in place, with no vehicle access, between Valley of the Moon rest area and Antelope Valley Road.

A possible detour includes State Route 278 connecting Eureka and Carlin.

Crews will be excavating and repairing three separate sections of roadway cracking potentially caused by erosion.
