BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Adam Mair is "no longer employed" as the Buffalo Sabres' director of player development, the team said Friday.

Mair had been on administrative leave after being arrested on Sept. 4 for allegedly driving while intoxicated outside of Rochester. He was charged with violating Leandra's Law for having three juvenile passengers in his vehicle during the incident.

Mair had been the team's director of player development since the 2021-22 season. The 46-year-old was a development coach for the team from 2015-20 and an assistant coach for the AHL's Rochester Americans in 2020-21.

As a player, Mair was a fourth-line center for the Sabres and he spent a majority of his playing career in Buffalo. He was a member of the team's runs to the conference finals in 2005-06 and 2006-
