A significant amount of ecstasy, cocaine and fentanyl was seized at a traffic stop in New Paltz on the morning of Sep. 29, state police said.

The bust began when a state trooper observed a 2025 Nissan heading northbound on I-87 in the town of New Paltz in alleged violation of traffic laws.

State Police initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Robert Brown, 39, of the Bronx. During the stop, troopers discovered that Brown was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and that the Nissan had previously been reported stolen.

Brown was taken into custody without incident. A search conducted during the arrest uncovered approximately 101 grams of cocaine and 38 grams of MDMA in his possession. Further examination of the vehicle led to the discovery of an additional
