BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) - Crews working on new noise-reduction walls along a part of I-680 are making good progress.
Workers were putting finishing touches to more of the pre-fabricated panels along the eastern side of the highway Friday. Some of them were specially made for this project, identifying the area as Boardman Township, as well as an image depicting the historic Saint James Meeting House in Boardman Park.
Officials with ODOT tell us they work with the communities where walls are being built to see how those images should appear.
"They come up with their designs and what they wanna see. As long as we approve it and it's okay... we work with the manufacturer and we get them those icons," said ODOT public information officer Justin Chesnic. "When they fabricate the noise walls, th
