Jason Manford has been forced to cancel his show tonight (October 3) after his flight was diverted at the last minute.

The comedian was expected to perform in Belfast this evening, flying out of London City Airport earlier today in a bid to get to Ireland.

However, the Waterloo Road star shared his plane was already "very delayed" prior to take off, with a number of people opting to get off the jet.

It appears as if this delay turned into a diversion, as the aircraft bound for Northern Ireland was forced to land in Manchester due to Storm Amy's impact.
