Some areas of the UK may see snow falling on the rooftops after Storm Amy sweeps Britain.
The GFS weather model map has highlighted parts of Scotland are set to see snow between October 18 and 19, with the popular tourist destinations of Perth and Inverness expected to see snowfall.
Other areas of the country such as Ross and Cromarty are also expected to see a dusting of snow, while the rest of the UK is forecast to face heavy rain.
The north of England and Scotland will see rain moving towards the east during the course of the day as conditions are expected to become "widely unsettled" as the month comes to a close.

The Met Office forecast for October 18 to November 1 states: “The l
