NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Nebraska State Patrol arrested one person on Thursday after finding nearly 100 pounds of ketamine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80.

An NSP trooper saw a westbound vehicle speeding on I-80 near North Platte at mile marker 179 at 11:25 a.m.

According to NSP, during the traffic stop, the trooper saw THC vape cartridges inside the vehicle. NSP said after searching the vehicle, the trooper found numerous vacuum-sealed bags of suspected ketamine.

NSP said around 98 pounds of suspected ketamine was found, which were inside suitcases in the trunk of the vehicle.

Troopers also found over $4,600 in cash in the vehicle.
