Hamas has announced its willingness to release all Israeli hostages, whether alive or deceased, in accordance with U.S. President Donald Trump's Gaza proposal. The group also expressed its readiness to transfer control of the Gaza Strip to an independent Palestinian authority.

In a recent statement, Hamas acknowledged that some aspects of Trump's peace plan are acceptable, while others will need further discussion. However, the group did not clarify whether it would comply with the demand to disarm, a condition previously rejected by both Israel and the U.S.

Hamas stated, "We appreciate the Arab, Islamic, and international efforts, as well as the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump, calling for an end to the war on the Gaza Strip, the exchange of prisoners, and the immediate entry of aid," among other terms. The group confirmed its intention to release all prisoners held by Israel, both living and deceased, based on the exchange framework outlined in Trump's proposal, contingent upon necessary conditions for implementation.

The statement further indicated that Hamas is prepared to engage in negotiations through mediators to discuss the specifics of the proposed exchange. This response comes after President Trump set a deadline for Hamas to accept or reject the 20-point plan by Monday AEST. It remains unclear whether the terms of the proposal will be open to negotiation, as Hamas has requested.
