A man was shot multiple times Tuesday morning near Broad Street, sparking a three-hour manhunt that ended in a car crash and foot chase through downtown Augusta.

🔍 What Happened: Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at Aiken Tires on Broad Street around 9:30 a.m., but quickly learned the actual shooting occurred moments earlier at Curry and Brown Street, just behind the Family Dollar.

39-year-old Larry Meminger was shot multiple times and taken to Wellstar MCG Health. His condition has not been released.

⏱️ The Chase: Three hours after the shooting, deputies spotted the suspect vehicle — a white Chevrolet Tahoe — and attempted a traffic stop around 12:45 p.m.
