CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Owners of a pizza shop in Conway will soon return to the United States with some new hardware.

Anto’s Pizza Romana & Italian Market announced that it won first place in the focaccia category at the Pizza World Cup in Rome, Italy.

“To be able to go overseas and win our second ever competition is amazing and makes all the stress & long nights at the shop worth it,” the restaurant stated in a Tuesday Facebook post. “It’s even better to do it in front of friends & family.”

Anto’s was the 2025 Best of the Grand Strand winner for best pizza.

The restaurant opened up on 3rd Avenue in 2024, replacing the Pickled Cucumber after it closed.
