CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — Kingston High’s field hockey team dropped a 3-2 verdict to host Shenendehowa in a shootout on Thursday, Oct. 2.

Olivia Stewart scored the Tigers’ first goal in the second quarter on an assist from Rose DiDonna. Kingston’s other goal came in the fourth quarter from DiDonna on an assist from Pepper Platte.

Following two scoreless overtimes, Shenendehowa got one goal in the shootout while the Tigers were unable to score on five shots.

“They put two goals in quick during the first period, which made us have to climb out of a deficit early,” Kingston coach Kelsey Mulligan said. “After maintaining a solid possession for the rest of the game, we came out to tie them and send the game into overtime.”
