LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Thursday, Spectrum News 1 reported Meals on Wheels clients in Metro Louisville would see a drop in service because of federal budget cuts. On Friday, the organization learned that funds would keep the program rolling through December.
For about the last year and a half, John Anderson and his wife have voluntarily distributed and delivered meals for Highlands Community Ministries Meals on Wheels program .
“It’s been a very enjoyable and pleasurable time. My wife and I are retired, and we wanted to find something where we could give back to the community and help make a difference, and Meals on Wheels is something we really believe in,” Anderson said.
