INDIANAPOLIS — The man driving a Dodge Challenger during a police chase reaching 140 mph before crashing killing three people , will serve just two years in prison.

Luis Leyba-Gonzalez will also serve seven years of home detention.

Leyba-Gonzalez pled guilty to nine counts including three counts of resisting law enforcement resulting in death, three counts of reckless homicide and three counts of causing death when operating a vehicle while a scheduled I or II substance is in the blood.

He faced between nine and 48 years as part of the plea agreement.

The Marion County Prosecutor's Office had asked for Leyba-Gonzalez to get 25 years in prison.

The judge, however, chose a lighter sentence of two years in prison.
