GRAND BLANC TWP, MI - A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the family of a woman killed in the shooting and fire at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township.

The campaign, created by Gwen Henrie , aims to assist her nephew and niece following the death of their mother, Thelma Armstrong, in the Sunday, September 28 incident that left four people dead and several others injured.

Police have said Thomas Jacob Sanford, 40, was responsible for the incident. He was shot and killed by police officers in the church’s parking lot.

Armstrong, described by her family as kind and selfless, was attending a service at the church with her daughter and other worshippers when the incident occurred.
