Sean "Diddy" Combs is breaking his silence.
Before being sentenced for his convictions on transportation to engage in prostitution, the rap mogul spoke out in court to address Judge Arun Subramanian Oct. 3.
"I want to thank you for giving me the chance to speak for myself," he said in court, per NBC News . " One of the hardest things I've had to handle was having to be quiet and not being able to express how sorry I am for my actions."
Combs first wanted to "personally apologize" to ex Cassie Ventura , who testified against him, for "any harm I have caused her emotionally or physically."
