Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced. Judge Arun Subramanian handed down a sentence of 50 months, just over four years, in the New York City court on October 3. The sentence includes time already served, which amounts to 14 months, meaning Combs is expected to remain in prison for the next three years.
Diddy was originally charged with five counts, which included a serious charge of racketeering conspiracy, and was found guilty of two, both dealing with transportation to engage in prostitution, on July 2. The prosecutors on the case had requested that the judge sentence him to more than 11 years in prison.
Cassie Ventura, his former girlfriend and a star witness for the prosecution, had offered a written statement, along with several other letters, that were filed to support the request
