Oregon men's basketball junior guard Jackson Shelstad will be out for four to six weeks after sustaining a broken right hand this week during preseason practices.
UO announced the injury in a press release Oct. 3.
The Ducks ' starting point guard earned All-Big Ten third team honors a year ago after starting 35 games and averaging 13.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He helped guide Oregon to a Round of 32 exit in the NCAA Tournament and a 25-10 finish in the 2024-25 season.
Oregon opens its season with a pair of exhibitions against Utah Oct. 24 and Stanford Oct. 30 before officially opening the year vs. Hawaii at Matthew Knight Arena Nov. 4.
