GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Gainesville High School teacher accused of bullying a student with a class superlative is taking her case to the state Department of Administrative Hearings.
Filings this week show Lauren Watts is now represented by a law firm from Tallahassee and is fighting a finding of probable cause filed by the Department of Education to take away her teaching certificate.
A parent claimed her son was voted “ Most Likely to be a Dictator ” in Watts’ class in 2023. She brought up the issue at a Florida Board of Education meeting, prompting state officials to investigate the matter.
