DOWNTOWN — The Latino Court Officers Society, a nonprofit New York-based organization composed primarily of employees of the Unified Court System with Latino heritage or roots, was recently illuminated for Hispanic Heritage Month.

The standing room-only event, presented by the Second Judicial District Equal Justice Committee and the Kings County Family Court Equal Justice Committee, took place the afternoon of Sept. 30 in the Ceremonial Courtroom at the Kings County Supreme Court.
