PRESCOTT, Ark. – Arkansas State Police officials said special agents have filed additional felony charges in an ongoing investigation.

Officials said the additional felony charges are against 35-year-old Alejandro Mendoza of Texarkana. The extra charges were filed in Nevada and Hempstead counties.

Multiple juvenile victims are involved, officials said.

ASP officials stated that the investigation into Mendoza commenced in July 2024, when the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from special agents. The investigation led to Mendoza’s arrest in September 2024 and a $250,000 bond, they said.

Officials continued that Mendoza was arrested a second time on Oct. 7, 2024, with coordination by the ASP Highway Patrol Division and the U.S. Marshals Service Western District of Arkans
