NFL legend Robert Griffin III revealed he and his family were lucky to be alive after getting into a major car accident.

“Just got in the worst car accident of our lives with my wife and kids in Fort Worth, Texas,” Griffin, 35, revealed via X on Friday, October 3. “Scary crash, ricocheted off the highway divider multiple times, blown both front tires. Thankful to God that my wife and kids are safe.”

The former Washington Redskins quarterback shared photos of his smashed Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and another severely damaged vehicle on the roadside.

A spokesperson for the Fort Worth Police Department confirmed to TMZ on Friday that the collision took place at around 11:48 a.m. CT and turned into a four-car wreck.
