FORT WORTH, Texas (WJW) - Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III is thankful that he and his family are alive and well after being involved in a serious car crash.

"Just got in the worst car accident of our lives with my wife and kids in Fort Worth, Texas," the 35-year-old wrote on X.

The Friday afternoon post included photos of multiple vehicles left seriously damaged in the roadway.

"Scary crash, ricocheted off the highway divider multiple times," Griffin continued. "Blown both front tires."

The Fort Worth Police Department told People and other news outlets that the four-vehicle crash, happening in the 6400 block of South Freeway, sent at least one person to a nearby hospital.

One of the four vehicles left the scene before officers arrived, People reported.
