West Lothian locals were baffled when what appeared to be a demountable camper was abandoned on the side of the road and set on fire.
The massive object was pictured on the side of the road on Drumshoreland Road near Livingston after it was dumped.
An image seems to show it occupying nearly an entire lane. It seems that caution tape and traffic cones were placed around the detritus to alert motorists.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene when the caravan part was set on fire on Monday, September 29. READ MORE: Grassroots projects improve West Lothian's environment
They received a call around 10.30pm and rushed to the scene, where they extinguished the blaze and departed at 11.20pm. No casualties were reported.
