DURANGO, Colo. (KREX) — On Friday, the Durango Police Department published a press release providing more information regarding Thursday's shooting incident at a Walmart Parking lot, located in the 1100 Block of South Camino Del Rio, that left two dead.

According to a preliminary investigation, Michael Murray, 74, approached his ex-wife, Wanda Murray, 66, as she was leaving her workplace and got in her car. Michael Murray entered Wanda Murray's vehicle through the passenger side and then followed Wanda Murray a short distance when she attempted to flee on foot.

After Wanda Murray turned to look back, Michael Murray pulled out a handgun and fired one shot, which hit her and caused her to fall on the ground. Then Michael Murray turned the weapon on himself and fired one round into his ches
