CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Charlotte city leaders convened Friday morning under public scrutiny following the fatal stabbing of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska aboard the Blue Line in August, an incident captured in a video that shook the community and the country. Since the tragic event, officials have been under pressure from federal and state agencies to make public transit safer.
