ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Despite the ongoing federal government shutdown, the City of Rockford announced that its health and human services programs will continue uninterrupted, with federal reimbursements for current grants still accessible.

The city assured residents that federal reimbursement for current grants remains accessible, allowing for the uninterrupted continuation of services.

The Illinois Secretary of Health and Human Services confirmed that regularly scheduled benefits will continue to be issued for programs such as SNAP, Child Care Assistance, Medicaid, WIC, Early Intervention, and TANF cash benefits.
