The Blue Jays have spent the last few days in wait-and-see mode when it comes to injured shortstop Bo Bichette, and the waiting continued on the eve of Saturday’s opener of their American League division series against the New York Yankees.

Asked Friday about the status of Bichette, out since Sept. 6 with a sprained left knee , manager John Schneider was non-committal.

“Coming right down to the wire ... (We will) make that decision (Saturday),” said Schneider. Baseball
