LINCOLN, Neb. (PRESS RELEASE) - Sales from a record Powerball® jackpot run contributed to $14 million in proceeds transferred this week to the Nebraska Lottery’s beneficiary funds.

The Nebraska Lottery recently distributed among its beneficiaries $14,014,624, derived from a share of Scratch and Lotto ticket sales for the previous three months. This is the sixth largest quarterly transfer since the Lottery started in 1993, bringing the overall amount of proceeds transferred to $1,051,303,358.

The latest transfer, made the week of October 3, was distributed among beneficiaries in the following manner:

Education as directed by the Legislature, $6,014,008;

Nebraska Environmental Trust Fund, $6,014,008;

Nebraska State Fair Support and Improvement Fund, $1,351,462;
